Careers at Holiday Prestige — Build Something People Notice

Holiday Prestige hires hardworking installers, technicians, warehouse team members, and sales professionals who want dependable work, strong teammates, useful skills, and room to grow with a company that is expanding in Chicagoland and beyond.

We are building teams for professional Christmas lighting, permanent outdoor lighting, landscape lighting, warehouse and installation support, and inside and outside sales. Some roles are seasonal, some can become year-round, and some are designed for people who want to travel as our permanent-lighting operation expands into other states.

What Kind of Boss and Culture Do Blue-Collar Workers Usually Want?

Most strong tradespeople want a boss who understands the work, communicates clearly, pays attention to what happens in the field, expects high standards, and treats good employees with respect.

Holiday Prestige founder Phillip Herrejon comes from a blue-collar, hands-on operating background and remains involved in the business day to day. His management philosophy is straightforward: stay humble, work hard, take care of the people who take care of the company, and build relationships that can last beyond a single season or project.

Holiday Prestige is not trying to create a culture where employees are anonymous numbers. The goal is to build strong crews and long-term working relationships, while still holding everyone — including leadership — accountable for doing the job correctly.

What Do Good Employees Usually Want From a Job?

Good employees usually want fair expectations, enough hours to make the job worthwhile, a manager who understands the work, respect for people who perform, and a believable path to greater responsibility.

Holiday Prestige is intentionally building around those expectations. We want people who work hard and expect leadership to work hard too. We want people who can take direction without being micromanaged and who want their effort to lead somewhere.

Who Tends to Fit Well at Holiday Prestige?

People with blue-collar, exterior-trade, customer-service, and high-ticket sales backgrounds often transfer well into Holiday Prestige because the work rewards stamina, problem-solving, reliability, attention to detail, and confidence with customers.

  • Roofers, gutter installers, soffit/fascia and siding workers
  • Window cleaners, exterior painters, solar installers, and other ladder-intensive workers
  • Landscapers, irrigation technicians, low-voltage technicians, and construction laborers
  • Athletic or physically active people who can sustain a productive pace outdoors
  • Warehouse and material-handling workers who are organized and dependable
  • In-home, outside, inside, and high-ticket salespeople who know how to follow up and close

Why Join a Company That Is Still Growing?

A growing company can create advancement opportunities faster than a company that has already decided exactly how many crews, territories, and managers it will ever need.

Holiday Prestige was founded in 2018 and remains hands-on and owner-led. The company has acquired two businesses over the past several years, is expanding its local service capacity, and plans to pursue additional opportunities in Chicagoland and outside Illinois as the right opportunities become available.

That growth can create hard-to-reach opportunities for employees who prove they are dependable, capable, coachable, and ready for more responsibility — from crew leadership and specialized installation to sales leadership, traveling teams, operations, and future market roles.

Can Seasonal Work Turn Into a Longer-Term Opportunity?

Yes. Seasonal work can become a longer-term opportunity when an employee proves dependable, learns quickly, works safely, and fits the needs of Holiday Prestige after peak season.

Christmas installers may be considered for permanent lighting, landscape lighting, warehouse and service work. Strong warehouse employees may move into installation. Strong salespeople may move from inside sales to higher-commission outside sales or future sales leadership. Growth is earned, not guaranteed, but the company is intentionally creating more places for capable people to advance.

What Holiday Prestige Expects From Every Team Member

Holiday Prestige hires for attitude, reliability, safety, professionalism, and the willingness to learn. Skill matters, but the best long-term employees are people others can count on.

  • A valid driver’s license is required — no exception.
  • Reliable personal transportation is required. Many job sites are not accessible by public transportation, and employees may need to report to different locations throughout Chicagoland.
  • Professional, respectful behavior with customers, coworkers, vendors, and neighbors is required.
  • Holiday Prestige maintains a drug-free workplace. Drug use, possession, or impairment during work is prohibited, and lawful screening may be part of the hiring process.
  • Alcohol may not be consumed during work, while operating company vehicles or equipment, or while representing Holiday Prestige. Employees may not report to work impaired.
  • Criminal background checks and driving-record checks will be conducted as appropriate for the role, with results evaluated in accordance with applicable law.
  • Field roles generally require at least five days of availability each week. Six-day availability is preferred during peak periods.
  • A sixth or seventh day may create optional overtime opportunities when workload and scheduling support it; overtime is not guaranteed.

How Can an Applicant Stand Out?

Applicants stand out by being specific, honest, responsive, and clear about why their experience and attitude fit the role. Holiday Prestige expects a high volume of applications, so generic one-line answers are easy to overlook.

WE HAVE RECEIVED HUNDREDS OF APPLICATIONS BEFORE

A previous Holiday Prestige hiring campaign received more than 240 applications for only a few openings. This year we expect to hire more people, but we still want the strongest attitudes and the most dependable candidates. In the application, tell us what you have done, what you are good at, why people can count on you, and why you want this kind of work.
